Springfield Township, located in Burlington County was formed in 1688.  Springfield was one of NJ’s initial group of 104 townships.  Arney’s Mount hill, Burlington County’s highest point, is located in Springfield as well as the Burlington County Fairgrounds.  Springfield is one of 56 municipalities that is included in the New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve.  Major highways 537, 545, 68 and Route 206 all pass through the township.
